Guide to the EIA Website

This website is designed to reinforce the materials covered in the EIA call you received, and to be a reference you can use to do the best job possible in recovering from the injury you received at work.

General Points

The top of every page has a bar with menu items that will take you to the major areas of the website.  These are grouped under two headings - Educate Yourself and Help for YOUR Situation.  Each are described below.

There are "breadcrumb" lists of links at the top left and bottom left that let you jump back to pages you came from.

"Prior page" and "next page" links at the bottom of most pages will walk you through the entire website.

Use your browser's Backspace button or the backspace key to back up to the prior page(s) you had visited on the site.

Some links on this site will open up a new window on another website.  These are indicated with an icon like the following: go to BWC site .

Links in the footer on each page cover relevant topics outside the core content of the site, like a description of the EIA Pilot program.

Menu Group:  Educate Yourself

These menu items have materials that you should read right away to get your basic education about workers' compensation, your medical condition, and resources that can help you get the best outcome.

Menu Group:  Help for YOUR Situation

This group of items contains material to help you in your specific situation.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Workers' compensation rules and regulations are extensive and complex.  Yet most claims are handled quickly and simply.  This website does not attempt to cover all the details that might apply under special circumstances.  See the Disclaimer page for more about this, and always consult your Claims Service Specialist if you have any questions.
